Bling




Bling Bling have been a huge part in Hip Hop it has been around for many years. The bling that is used by many artists has to catch the attention, it plays an important role in the the hip hop culture as it can show your status.
Bling represent who you are and what you are worth. Many artist create their own designs so that they can show of what the have and how. They individualize their  taste/ style from other artist.

    I think another important of bling to examine is that it is the flaunting of not only self worth, but also a statement of rising up socioeconomic class and reapropriating the jewelry to fit into hip hop subculture. It is similar to the use of name brands etc.
