Hip Hop & Racial Politics 2012

Can rappers be authentic if they are not black? What if the definition of authentic is consantly changing. To be American used to mean that you were white, now that is not the case. How can we pin point who is an authentic artist if no one can definitively say what is authentic without the possibility that the definition might change tomorrow with the addition of other influences. To be black one must actualy be black so how can we explain how an albino black man is authentically black?
